We are happy to announce that the 11th Annual John Hofman Memorial Horseshoe Tournament will be held on July 4, 2024, at Lincoln’s McBean Park horseshoe pits. The park is located at 65 McBean Park Drive, Lincoln, CA.
Jeff Williams and the McBean/Lincoln Horseshoe Pitching Club are presenting the tournament on behalf of the Native Sons of the Golden West Silver Star Parlor 63. We are immensely appreciative of them stepping in to manage the annual 4th of July tournament, and that the profits will be donated to our parlor’s scholarship fund, and the 4th of July Fireworks Fund.
New this year there will be two divisions – Top Gun (comp team members) and Novices (non comp team). Pre-entry is strongly encouraged as a limited number of teams will be allowed. This is a double elimination event, and the entry is $50 per team. Cash prize for first place, and trophies for first and second place, in both divisions.
We also express our gratitude to Sierra Hills Framing of Lincoln for underwriting the trophies.
Silver Star uses the funds raised thru two fundraising events each year for various local projects – including informational plaques on historic sites, scholarships, supporting the Lincoln Area Archives Museum and other community groups, and more.
For more information, please contact Jeff Williams with the McBean/Lincoln Horseshoe Pitching Club at 530-786-1646. We look forward to an 11th annual successful and fun John Hofman Memorial Horseshoe Tournament on July 4th.
